## Why we're looking

We're building this right now, early enough that the team itself isn't fixed yet. We're
looking for someone to build the technical direction from here, with the same equity, the
same vote, and the same exposure to being wrong as anyone else building this.

This isn't a job description we need filled. It's a search for someone who'd rather argue
about which problem is real than be handed one that's already been decided — and who wants
that argument to carry as much weight as anyone else's in the room.

## What this actually means

- **Equal say, not assigned scope.** In the room for what we build, who we hire, and how we
  raise — not just how a spec gets implemented.
- **Technical ownership, still hands-on.** Co-founder does not mean detached from code.
  Early on, everyone builds.
- **Founding-tier equity.** Commensurate with the seat — negotiated directly, not banded
  like a hire.
- **Investor and customer-facing from day one.** You represent the company, not just its
  architecture.

We haven't fixed the exact technical lane this person owns — that's part of what gets
decided together, not before you join.

## You might be a fit if

- You've built and shipped things end to end, and you've also sat in the room where a
  company decided what to build next.
- You want ownership of the "what," not just the "how" — a title and a defined lane feel
  like a demotion, not a promise.
- You're comfortable with the company's shape changing under you as you learn what's
  actually true.
- You use AI in your own loop daily and have real opinions about where it earns trust and
  where it doesn't yet.
- You'd rather negotiate your seat directly with the founders than go through a leveled
  offer process.

## Probably not a fit if

- You want the mission and the roadmap defined before you join, not shaped by you.
- You'd rather be excellent at one clearly-scoped thing than adequate across everything,
  right now.
- Title and equity level matter to you more than the actual influence that comes with them.

## About Tessera

Tessera is a pre-seed company building the operating layer for organisations where much of
the work is executed by agents. We are funded by early-stage investors and angels, who
you'd meet during the process. Very early — the thesis, the product, and even parts of this
page are week-one thinking, and we expect some of it to be wrong.

**Who you'd build with.** We're assembling this as we go rather than presenting an
already-finished founding team — future-facing, execution-focused, and human about it.
